I used to post mine over at the old place too.
I was at 1 (twice), 5, 8, 10 and 14 (different venue; may go again next week). Sounds like Lucy is a good person to know!

Not today, but soon: George Bailey, 'the magnanimous but malcontent moneylender' in It's a Wonderful Life.

I think I'll have a Baileys, 'the classic, cream-based chaser'.
December 12, 2025 at 4:27 PM
I thought about 'the hirsute ho-ho-ho-er', but I'm going with 'the portly present-bearer'.

Love those "festive flakes". Years since I've made a "firn fellow" though. (look it up)

Still not started on 'the goodwill greetings'. Shouldn't take too long, as I don't include a 'clan circular' with mine.
December 8, 2025 at 10:22 PM
Oh, and Six by Sondheim (HBO documentary, also on YT).
December 8, 2025 at 10:14 PM
And the London Menier pro-shot of Merrily that I just discovered is available on YT (but have not yet watched).

I follow you, but they are not appearing in my feed.

Now wishing I’d gone with ‘sweary seasonal song‘ or ‘foul-mouthed festive favourite’.
(And no, I don’t really have the time I’m spending on this.)
December 7, 2025 at 9:11 PM
What, no Stephen Sondheim? He pens demon hits. And he opens the mind.
December 7, 2025 at 8:02 PM
How about 'Fairytale of New York', the 'slur-filled seasonal favourite'?
December 7, 2025 at 3:51 PM
Definitely some ‘suspended spheres‘ and some ‘glowing garlands’.
