RIP #RichardChamberlain. In 1976 I went to see him in Tennessee William's play 'The Night of the Iguana' in L.A. Williams was known for dramas about desire & human fragility. Chamberlain was brilliant as the emotionally intense & deeply flawed character of Rev. Shannon. Impressive performance!

Years ago we gathered in a field in the high desert as an orchestra played a sweeping classical piece. The conductor's silhouette was sharp against a clear sky. The music peaked in a wall of sound as colorful hot air balloons & music floated upward lifting our hearts. I took a snapshot to remember.

I tuned into the FOBBV eagle nest cam at 9:30pm and took this screen shot. Chicks are staying warm in the nest 145 Ft up in a Jeffrey Pine tree in the windy, snowy San Bernandino Mountains of Calif. Eagle's partner is nearby. www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4-L... Other great eagle cams on explore.org

Today taking a break from the news. I will think of a beach with Morning Glory flowers and take a stroll if only in my imagination. My blood pressure should get back to normal. I might stay on that beach all day in my head.

I am going cold turkey with Daylight Savings time and not gradually acclimating. I will drink wine in the evening and coffee all day and slam down sugary snacks for a week to get through the 'transition.' Then dream of moving where Daylight Savings Time does not exist to ruin my circadian rhythm!

Sometimes when I can't take the news anymore I just have to play with my cat. This is Hilde. Lynx Siamese (Tabby Point Siamese in UK) which means a Siamese and a tabby became romantically involved. My cat is basically a mutt and a happy one.

The 1st time I heard wild wolves howling in the wild was 25 years ago in Minnesota in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. The 1st time I ever saw a wild wolf was near Lake Superior off road. It did not scare me. I am an Oregonian and I found it sad I heard & saw wild wolves so far from the Pacific NW.
