It's because Trump to Murdoch is just another follower of the plan that Murdoch and co. has been slowly implementing since the 70s. They can & probably right are replacing him with JD Vance/Thiel.

It's a small step from falsely saying the person is dead while actually deporting him, to having him die in Alligator Alcatraz and then truthfully informing the family the person died.
