Adding on to this:
Ive realized recently that, as he currently stands, removing Rouxls from Deltarune would have basically no impact on the story.
In chapter 1, all he really does it slow you down. Chapter 2, same thing! +++

A lot of the stuff we see in there are items associated with survival; a LOT of rations, lighters, multitool knives, binoculars...
