Got a pretty big rock thrown into my path but I guess I’ll just have to keep working with a lot less support. I’m also most likely either going back into my old job or I’ll try to get into a more programming based job somehow. Old job would mean less time to work on games for sure.

The infrastructure required to host and stream video at that kind of scale is incredibly expensive, essentially locking out any fairer alternatives from even entering the conversation, as we've seen time and time again. (4/5)

From what I can see there is no way to unionize a space like YouTube, creators are treated like gig workers but way more isolated, without any protections or leverage.To me the worst part is that we can't just build a better platform. (3/5)

From a leftist perspective I find it alarming how creators are completely dependent on a system that can demonetize them, bury their content or even just straight up erase them at any moment with no warning and no real accountability. (2/5)
