Labour said on day 1 that the whole reason for these "zombie" projects is that a license to build comes with no obligation to build, lasts 15 years and can be sold on.

We really didn't need academics to tell us that AI is producing slop, but I disagree with the characterisation of it as a problem, it does what it's supposed to do.
In my estimation, the problem is the name, it's false advertising, call it what it is: a slop generator.

Nvidia loaning hundreds of billions to broke AI companies so they can buy more Nvidia chips is the sign of a healthy and prosperous market and not market manipulation. I'm sure it will be a healthy and functioning market if it can just get a little more money.
