I'm rarely on here. I delete the app sometimes.
I have my own criticisms, but those are not systems I live in and I'm not an expert.

The Communist party of China will fully admit they aren't currently living under communism. It's still a transitional phase.

They have to exist in a world ruled by capital. Their actions make sense in that reality

However, that's an important question. The comrades then will need to push for their class interests the same way we push for ours.

The revolution away from capitalism is not the final revolution.

There will be more as new class relationships are created.
This is true throughout history.

I'm more concerned about the horrors happening today and their consequences than I am about the hypothetical horrors of 50 years from now.

Any sort of plan we make will need to engage with material reality. We could come up with many scenarios and few will survive to become reality without care

Karl Marx talked about it in the frickin' Communist Manifesto.

Chapter 2.

"We have seen above, that the first step in the revolution by the working class is to raise the proletariat to the position of ruling class to win the battle of democracy."

Yes. People who do the work and toil of society should not be disenfranchised from the government that represents their interests.

A state that functions as the tool of oppression by the owner class over the worker class is a demonstrably horrifying thing.

We should flip that oppression dynamic.

Communism requires democracy to function. It isn't Communism if there isn't democracy.

To be honest, I've been strongly considering leaving the country. I don't have an active plan, but I forsaw a lot of the current events. I thought it would have happened slower.

I got a passport last year for that reason, just to have options. But I will stay as long as I'm able to do so safely.
