I decided I would paint another picture of a person so I made a reference by drawing over her original photograph. It's a little bit naughty though 😜

Here's what I got so far.
For the mockup I used medibang paint pro and I made the background in the painting with an acrylic under layer.

I finally got around to "finishing" that painting. I may turn around and decide to actually put her face in in the future but for now I am satisfied with it.

I made this one a few years ago when my son was born. The trees I saw outside the window of the hospital room he was born in. The painting was made for him and I hope he keeps it when he grows up and moves out.
The painting is a colorful background with green and yellow on the right, orange in the middle and red, purple and blue on the left with some white splotches around the place. In the foreground is the silhouette of a pair of trees standing together with no leaves.

On a bright yellow/green background,there's two trees in the dirt. The one of the left has had a section chopped out and is barely connected to its stump while the one on the right has a broken section as well and is stuck in a pile of stones. Their branches are intertwined and holding each other up. Neither of them would be able to hold themself up without the other. In the background there is a faint hint of other plants and grass in the distance and at the top is the canopy of leaves. The trees have a reddish grey hue to them and the leaves are dark green with yellow highlights.

So this is what I got so far. I might just give up on doing the face entirely and either leave it smeared or make it like a mannequin. We will see. She told me she likes it so far though.

I am attempting to paint from a picture my girlfriend had taken of her back before we had kids, I'm not great at faces so I'm starting with everything else and I'll practice elsewhere before doing the face.

I am considering selling print outs of my paintings once i finally get setup for selling my work. What sort of sizes do you guys think would be the best to make?

I figure something that would fit in a wallet or around the size of a post card.

The final product of my space project. I decided on an earth-like planet and I finished up the background a bit too. I am totally satisfied with how this painting turned out. I think I'm going to call it "A New World"

The painting is just a black background with a few colorful spheres around the place with one big blue planet with a couple continents and ice caps like earth. The planet has some yellow and white highlights and a few thin indications of white clouds blended into the blue of the water. There's also some colour thrown around in the corners such as yellow, purple green and orange, blended into the black. There are also plenty of yellow- white spots where I flicked some paint thinner at the wet paint to create a star like effect. I have also added some white spots around to look like little stars around the whole canvas.

A current work in progress. something a little different for me but it will be interesting at the very least when it's done. I'm not sure yet if it will be a planet or a moon or even if the view will be from the the ground looking up or just out in space too.

So my inlaws are always buying me paint by the numbers sets, which is nice cause free canvas and stuff. I don't usually do the numbers thing so I am covering it up and it will be like a hidden piece under whatever I paint there. Plus I get to use their gift.
This picture is just a flattened out paint by the numbers canvas which I have covered in white paint to hide the numbers and lines. You can still kind of see them but I'll be putting another layer or two paint to cover it up before painting.

Here's another painting I made recently. Kinda felt a little lazy so it's not great or anything but I'm calling it "Lavender Grove"
The painting shows a blue sky with some thin clouds and birds in the air. There are tall dark trees in the distance that blend into the grass of the fields where there are a couple trees, a stone and a dirt path running through a patch of purple flowers in a fenced area. On either end of the path is a well and a little house. In the foreground is a hill covered in purple flowers like Lavender and a raised up patch with some grass.

I made this painting last night, it was a three hour project so a little rushed I guess. I call it "Decended."
A nighttime scene with purple as the main colour in the sky and for the water. There are multiple layers of grass and bushes with white and blue highlights getting brighter until they reach the water. There is a bright yellow and white light source right at the top in the middle with many rays of light passing down in front of the grass and bushes as well as through the leaves of the trees. In the foreground are two tall dark trees, one on each side, and bushes along the bottom with some of the light being reflected in the water. Comming down from the light is an angelic figure in bright white. There are also a few sticks visible in the bushes.
