Massive oversimplification of the skinhead movement, was a working class thing fairly consistently but never really a unified racist thing. For example acab originated with leftist skinheads and one of the more prominent skinhead orgs in new York in the 80s was skinheads against racial prejudice.

I think the big difference there is that Joe Rogan used to at least (maybe?) pretend to not be a piece of shit but that was always at the core of sterns schtick.
Also Joe is most likely a Closet case so there's that sad lasagna on top of everything else.

I think the core fallacy there is that while Punk was contrary to the establishment, being a contrarian for the sake of it isn't punk.
