Meetings are only a waste of time for tech workers, in the way that pilots, flight attendants, and ATC talking to each other before a flight is a waste of time for an airline.

As in, yes, "Talking isn't flying!"🤡

But:
* Where are we even going?
* Safety checks?
* Who's serving 1st class?
Well “employees must be in the office 5 days a week” but “we won’t have any meetings” is a bit in conflict.

*btw I too, think there are too many meetings.

I strived to create a psychologically safe environment when I first became a manager. However, when asked to split teams, I felt I was falling short of this goal. Psychological safety is a helpful guide in those situations, not something to feel bad about.
