After charging me for a fee not disclosed at booking, I got trapped in a customer support hellscape in which AIs claimed not to be AIs and referenced policies entirely irrelevant to the clear "refundable" claim presented at booking. Just a tiny piece of very very human screenshot is presented here, where I say "please pass me to a human who can resolve this right away", and Expedia responds as "John Robert", definitely a real name, with "By the way, I would like to inform you that I am a live agent or a real person and I will do my best to assist you with your concern."
