A brass coin with an intricately detailed fractal design that evokes the feeling of a large flower, like a sunflower with only 7 petals. Around the flower cascading shapes retreat into the design in a way resembling topographical maps.

I haven't been this overflowing with ideas in a long time. It's great to have a tool that can keep up with me. I love the idea that these coins will still have these fractals on them a hundred years from now.
Two brass coins with fractal engravings. One is a flowery mandala design with thin cascading lines telescoping out from the center. The other is an irregular, but orderly, grid pattern twisted around two focal points, like a netting of sacred geometry. Two more brass coins with fractal engravings. One resembles a flower blooming around a setting sun. The other is a shockwave rippling around a central heart shape, casting tight, sweeping bands inwards like a vortex.

A maze is made with walls or ways, and a wary wanderer.

This idea is inspired by The Stanley Parable. A game without a player is just rules. A player with no game is just a dreamer. A maze isn't a maze until someone is inside it and unsure of which way to go.

My love for the color orange is rooted in this gnarly Japanese Maple that grows outside my window. Every year, it undergoes a stunningly vibrant transition before losing its leaves for the winter. I've enjoyed it since childhood, but this year I recorded it so you can enjoy it too.

Took a risk and ordered a few spot rugs with my art on them. The vibrance is fantastic, and the details came through reasonably well. We'll see if they're popular enough to do again, but if not, I think I'll be happy to have them around the house.

So will my cat. 😅

"Wiggy" is a word that means "I'm feeling weird, but I know it's because of the substance I've consumed", and implies "I need to change my setting, but communicating is difficult". It's an alternative to attaching those feelings to more important things, and a reminder that the discomfort will fade.

I found the feature that changes the angle of the laser's approach each pass.. Whoops, I mean Geno learned Geno Whirl!

This coin is a map of how I see emotions. Each emotional state has its counterpart on the back. We oscillate between each pair (and others), and the combined result is our "now".
An engraved brass coin. A kaleidoscopic pattern in the middle has 6 almost identical sections projecting out from the vertices of a central hexagon. Each section has a jellyfish-shaped creature with one eye floating above an abstract shape like a carrot with a pineapple's leaves. Around the central pattern, 6 words are arranged, each one centered above a jellyfish. Love, Express, Wonder, Excite, Create, Explore. Further out from that, a geodesic pattern of arcs and dots make a pleasant border. The back side of the coin isn't shown, but since you took the time to read this far, it has the same design, but the words are changed to Fear, Absorb, Expect, Soothe, Consume, Secure.

Laser Fractal Space Wizard isn't just a silly title. It's also a map of my creative phases. In Laser phases, I'm chasing a specific result. In Fractal phases, I'm exploring possibilities. In Space phases, I'm creating big ideas. In Wizard phases, I'm performing. Phases often overlap.

"Night Cats"

This fractal design has a rippling cloud texture which outlines the abstract silhouettes of three cats in dusky blues and oranges. There are three verses written on the design, tucked into the fractal folds. The poem reads: At dawning moon and fading glow four-footed phantoms sneaking low, head to places most can't go, with flickered lights and long shadows. Some bring shoestrings. Some bring twine. Some bring feathers, always nine. Stacking treasures, purring rhyme The static crackles, hairs align. Then it happens, just like that, all who've gathered scatter back. Magic, but to be exact? Don't ask a wizard, ask a cat.

"Cave Vibes"

One way to define fear is as a resistance to change. Especially change in things we love. This can be subverted, you can learn to recognize fear as an arrow pointing out the things you love the most, and cherish the reminder.
This fractal design centers on a apple-shaped cavern, lit with a glowing pink and blue swirl near the spot where the stem would be. Outward from the cave, rings of different colors light up the swirling texture of the walls in blue, green, pink and purple. It feels like looking through a tunnel and seeing a rainbow gradient stretched along the walls, dank and confined despite the bright colors.

How it feels to chew ∞ Gum
This busy fractal design has a polyhedron gem on the left side, reflecting the external purples and greens in a flower burst shape. Outside of the gem, small purple flowers crows around cool green plants with dew drops on them, vaguely reminiscent of spearmint growing in a field of lavender. It's feels cool, crisp, and almost sparkling.

This fractal design features a central star shape with 7 orange arms around a dark blue maw in the middle. Where the tip of each arm would be, the arm is tied off by a silvery loop. Beyond that point, the tip flares back out in an arcing plume, revealing shadowy tendrils that lurk around the edges of the design. The space between the arms of the star are loosely petal shaped, with a chevron pattern pointing a circle around the center. The design feels like a warm thing in the cold, or like energy being throttled.

"Quangle"

My rendition of a #TimeQuangle, a silly plot device that gives my partner countless giggles.
This bold fractal design has four vivid orange petals bursting from a complicated central knot, with bluish grey ribbons filling the gaps. The knot-flower is warped around the edges, like a heavy object pressing down into a sheet. The petals have occasional rippled areas, with tightly packed wave shapes implying intense tension. The design feels bright and proud. Between you and me, this has some of the most satisfying orange tones of all my work, and that's saying a lot! You can almost taste the color here, or feel it radiating like a heater.
