This is it. I'm officially on my way. Normally I would be excited to be somewhere new, but I guess this isn't any normal circumstance. I should be excited. I should be. But.. I'm scared. Going out that far by myself, no one to make this journey with me. No one here to even see me off. Is.. is this the right decision? Is what I'm doing good for me? I suppose it's too late for doubts, I've already paid for the one-way trip out there. Once I arrive out east I'm there to stay, good or bad. There's no turning back now. Though, I can't help but cry. I'll miss this place in spite of it all. I think I'll miss Bee the most, her coffee was a staple of my mornings for a good little while. The coffee I made myself at home since she closed the diner just wasn't the same. I hope Marie is doing well, wherever she is. As weird as that sounds, the person that's responsible for where I am now, wishing them well. I know she didn't do it out of malice, she was terrified and masking that with those exaggerated tales of heroism of that day was just her way of coping. Even if it was at my expense. And that boy.. that poor boy. He didn't deserve what happened to him. It is partially my fault, I had the power to stop Marie but I ..didn't. Am I the one to blame? Is this all my fault? It doesn't matter now, what's done is done. I should dry my tears, I've got a big day ahead of me. By this time tomorrow I'll have made my first steps in North Point. I hope this is all worth it.
