Software engineer who is a bit nuts about electronic music. And dark humor. And politics. And meretricious ephemera. And words.
My new iOS app Diffuzion was recently released on the App Store! (apps.apple.com/us/app/diffu...)

Diffuzion is an AI app that generates clips of music, beats, sound-effects, etc. using an on-device AI model. On iOS 26 you can export your audio as ringtones, which is enormous fun!

WAYMOs don't even go to the neighborhoods the protesters came from. We have DASH buses and the metro; We didn't ask for, and don't need, AI limos.

My favorite Smiths song ever is actually "Miserable Lie". Why? It has both a dramatic key change _and_ tempo change, two simple musical devices that make for interesting pop, which seem to elude so many modern artists. #thesmiths #britpop #eighties #morrissey

To the young lady whose unsolicited comment that my karaoke rendition of "Jolene" didn't "do justice" to Dolly Parton: Of course it didn't, no more than your Spice Girls rendition did. But it takes balls for a man to sing a song from a woman's perspective, so cut me some slack.

I hope pension funds owning Tesla get their asses sued after writing off losses. They were reckless to load up on a stock with a ridiculous P/E ratio, and with an AWOL CEO who has made the brand internationally toxic.

When I come across them, I like to forward recall notices to my Tesla-owing friends.

I just give, give, give.

Dear internet,

I'm hesitating to invite my American and Mexican friends to watch the latest Mike Leigh movie "Hard Truths" with me.

Please advise.

this attitude — paperwork is for sissies, real wars are won by Big Strong Men — is traditionally a harbinger of ruinous for defeat for everyone who holds it

They'd have to pay ME to take a Waymo to LAX.

I'm not sure they've reckoned with L.A. drivers, or the perpetual hellscape that is LAX.

In a Waymo, no-one can hear you scream.

The Sonos debacle is an object lesson in how *not* to develop mobile apps. Sonos spent over two years developing a next-generation app _in parallel_ with their existing app -- instead of refactoring the existing one. Surprise: Disaster followed.

Tech titan lobbying: We need more H1B visas to bring badly needed engineering talent in the U.S!

Which is it?
