Took advantage of a day off to hike up Mt. Lady Washington in Rocky Mountain National Park and got a nice look at the East Face of Longs Peak in the snow. National Parks should be cherished (and funded) by those in Congress.

Overshadowed by other news, the district that I teach in is grieving another school shooting in one of its high schools, the second since I have been there. When will there be enough that politicians care enough to act? When will the lives of children be more important than support from the NRA?
