Note how for this ostensibly straight NYT reporter it’s taken for granted Trump seeks “peace in the Middle East” while Iran “threatens” with “nuclear ambitions”. Truly, there is no violent, racist or psychotic person America can elect that will undermine chauvinist assumptions about US benevolence.
