A new £5.1m diagnostic centre at Ilkeston Community Hospital is helping patients get quicker tests closer to home. It offers CT, X-ray, and an open MRI scanner which is the first in the East Midlan, and is designed to be quieter and more comfortable.

Local artists are creating a mobile sculpture of approx. 2,000 fish from recycled NHS waste, for the new Berwick Community Hospital which will celebrate Berwick’s fishing heritage. Community workshops will help shape the piece making the hospital a more welcoming space.
