i start by writing down ideas in a google docs, and then, i just open an art app and make different slides into what i imagine my games to look
Slide 1) Main Menu
Slide 2) Maybe a cut scene
Slide 3) starting room with the main character, and some basic UI layout
Something like this really helps me
