We're excited to have OnKey Cosplay back for our 5th anniversary! Key is a Black woman cosplayer whose Blackness is integral to her identity. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Afro American Studies and incorporates her heritage into her cosplays. Cosplay contest info at comicsincolor.org

Javier Cruz Winnik was first published creating sketch cards for Upper Deck. He went on to create 4 books in the graphic novel series, "A Reason to Smile!", and he created art for "Puerto Rico Strong", "Ricanstruction" & "Saladeen, Keeper of the Flame".

Excited to welcome absolute Legend, Barbara Brandon-Croft to #BCICF2025. Her comic strip 'Where I’m Coming From' ran in the Detroit Free Press in 1989, and Brandon-Croft became the first Black woman cartoonist to be published nationally by a major syndicate.

Robyn Smith is a known for her mini-comic The Saddest Angriest Black Girl in Town, illustrating DC Comics' Nubia: Real One and Black Josei Press' Wash Day. She was awarded the 2024 Ignatz Award for "Outstanding Artist". We're excited she's returning to #BCICF2025
