Every time a server says “Hey guys!” to me and my boyfriend I have a split second where my past self perks up and is like ‘that’s incorrect, guy is not gender neutral!’ before I remember that I’m trans and my boyfriend and I are, indeed, two guys. So like… they aren’t wrong

People always talk about transitioning as some kind of body mutilation, and yet nobody seemed too concerned about me when I was literally picking my own skin off my face before transitioning because of dysphoria. Therapy, testosterone, and a lot of scar cream later, and I’m finally recovering

Today is the Day of Remembrance, regarding Japanese internment camps. I remember visiting Manzanar as a kid, and struggling to grasp what it was or how it happened. I hate that I understand it now. It can happen again… and already is.

If someone steals your $10 with the promise that they’d use it to buy a meal for you both, and then buys only their own meal, and loudly proclaims they are so good because they ‘saved money’ by buying less food…you wouldn’t congratulate them. You would say “Wait, you just stole my $10!!”

Look I know some people aren’t watching the news due to mental health issues- that’s one thing- but I’m begging some of you to care. I’ve had multiple people say ‘Oh I don’t care to keep up with that stuff’ when I bring up very real worries. Thanks so glad that you don’t give a shit, I feel better

You know gender affirming care is important when I actively decided to start T even though I knew it might make my horrible cystic acne even worse. The kind that scars. If you know, you KNOW. But it was worth it.
It turned out half of said acne was due to dysphoric skin picking, which T lessened
