Is there any way this was not a coordinated attack between Trump and Russia? They probably offered him a better deal for the minerals: “he embarrassed you by rejecting your first offer; just let us take over and we’ll give you more of the spoils.”

I’m afraid Trump will stay the course until Congress, Courts, and/or his base force a change of course. He has too much to gain from power consolidation; optics are a distant second.
