I'm at a loss for words. Weasley got very sick, very fast and failed to respond to treatment the way we needed him to. For the second time in less than six weeks we've had to let one of our babies go.

While the camera definitely exaggerates the brightness and color, the naked eye visual experience was incredible. Without a doubt the best aurora we've seen locally. Truly a stunning and humbling experience.

I'm not sure I could be any more proud of our kid on his 16th birthday. He's such a good, kind, thoughtful, witty, funny and fun kid who I not only love more than anything - but who I like and love being around, too. He's a blast and makes me happy every day to be his dad.

Have to await further info tomorrow after a CT scan. But at least he's getting better pain drugs now.

Really long day, but finally made it to Ames so Audie can get some help. Likely surgical. Always appreciate good thoughts for him - he really is the sweetest guy.

Audie likely had a severely slipped disc in his back (x-ray results hopefully tomorrow). His back legs are functionally paralyzed at the moment (hopefully temporarily) and, as a result, he can't control his functions. So we now are back to diapers on the Fox household.
