A wandering comic spreading smiles and irreverence wherever it is allowed. Absurdly liberal in outlook but willing to poke fun at all who take themselves too seriously. Humility hunter extraordinaire. Navy vet. Entertainment pro. Former technologist.
Anyone who has been paying attention and is honest with themselves can only conclude that the extant situation in those red states is because "those are the babies and mothers we don't want here." It is quite obvious.

Steve Allen wrote in the introduction to one of his books on Funny People "if we didn't have laughter, this world would be intolerable."
It is hard to argue with that.
The German philosopher Karl Barth said "Laughter is the nearest thing to the grace of God."

She looks like she is hell in the sack. Or is it just me?

Maybe "confronted" was not the right word. The point being that when face to face, people are much less likely to be hateful and bold. Trolling is easy at a distance. Less so in person.

He is dying to be popular in NYC again. This is a chance to feel that one more time before he kaks off.

Mamdani is enormously popular and a rising star. The tangerine shit-gibbon wants to be photographed smiling with him. He is the biggest suck up, band-wagon jumping, wanna be popular person on the planet.

Comedians should be depended upon to see through the nonsense, lies, prevarications, piffle, double-talk and out right bullshit.
Keep up the good work DeanO!

I was using his quote in reference to someone trying to get churches to help feed their baby. They included very well heeled churches who could easily afford it. And Billy Graham and others had mega churches that broadcast on tv and radio in the ‘40s and 50s. So Steinbeck would have been aware.

Many great memories there. It is a shame the house is gone. What a wonderful place.

Remember what John Steinbeck wrote (re: mega churches)

“If you're in trouble or hurt or need–go to poor people. They're the only ones that'll help–the only ones.”

And yet most of the people being rounded up and deported are Christians... Huh?
It's almost like they don't really care about protecting anyone if there is vast oil fields involved.
