Sorry I wasn’t clear with my response. The Colts complained to get rules changed against defensive physicality in 2003. So they could take advantage of Manning and his weapons.

Truthfully I don’t care either way about the play. I would agree with you more if a large portion of teams did it. Similar to touchbacks on kickoffs.

Packers s/b honest that it’s because they can’t stop it and not some bs cover of player safety.

ever seen a goal line stand? Crowd gets excited. Drama comes in all situations. Not every game has to be 42-41. I don’t need flag football. I can enjoy a hard hitting physical game. Do I like scoring? Of course!

Why can nobody else stop the Eagles and also nobody else run it effectively?

By this logic ban QB sneaks, kneel downs, any halfback/fullback dive, most running plays, the 4 minute offense and the offensive and defensive lines. Part of football will always be you vs him, who wins? Stop them.

Agreed 100%. Colts did it in 2003, along with so many other things over the years.

If it truly was about player safety I’d understand. But it’s not. This is “we can’t stop them, and we can’t run it right to work for us!”

Patriots fan here. Hate the idea of this. Stop them on the field.

Those who say “It’s a rugby move” are you going to ban players from boxing out defenders when catching the ball? “That’s a basketball move!!!”

Almost like he’s done soon, too.

Which position group do you think was upgraded the most since last year? And which position group will make the biggest impact on this year’s team?

Thankfully they did a full search and it’s not just some nepotism hire. :)

Not surprising. Jabrill Peppers is on the clock.

Very true! Lol. It would have looked better putting the acolyte on Tozawa instead of Otis.

So he could look stronger by taking out 2 men at once.

That’s why every event is “the highest grossing”. It’s absolutely ridiculous and such a turnoff

Seems like another Chris Hogan. At least he’s tall and seems like he can get both feet in bounds.

I really hope they don’t think they can kick the can another year. Maybe this will “encourage” them to pursue players via trade (even if they overspend). At the very least they need to keep raising the floor for this team’s talent level.

Love all of it - especially trading for Metcalf and signing Stanley. Can you use your connections and get this in front of the right people, please? Lol

Really been enjoying the “offseason” pods. Can’t wait to watch this one!

Interesting that they kept Mayo’s brother as strength coach. I’m excited to see what this staff does once they get some players.

And will be watching the Super Bowl at home just like us!

I’m a Patriots fan. Sure! You’re getting closer, not there yet! KC on a hell of a run, though!

A few things:

1: SB wanted to play but they wouldn’t let him

2: It would have been a hollow rushing record as he needed 17 games to break it

3: Neither Allen or Barkley are likely winning MVP. Jackson probably is.

4: Real ones talk about rings, not MVPs.

He handed the ball off the first play and then was done in week 18. Let’s not make it like he played the whole game.

I don’t have a dog in the fight, but you’re stretching a bit here to find an argument.
