I often realize that my quantitative work is supported by analytics from very diverse fields. The paper below about political advertisement helped some of the analytics of onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1...

Read broadly has been important to me and I highly recommend it.

I feel that I was extremely well mentored. That said, I feel that it’s important that individuals build systems that allow them to progress without way too much “supervising”. Though I do recognize that there are different needs from mentees & open dialogues about those are critical.

Why aren't more researchers publishing in society journals?

Two potential reasons:

1) They're often unfamiliar to early-career researchers,

and/or 2) they need better promotion, a task for all of us.
