5. Before I understood AI and how it can help educators, I hated it, too. But I went to a conference all about using tech in education. And my mind has been changed.

(2/3) Here’s the deal:
1. As a school librarian I need to know how to teach my students to use it responsibly.
2. It’s not going away.
3. It’s OBVIOUSLY not a reliable source for fact finding.
4. It’s in its infancy and it improving at an exponential rate.

If budget were no issue I’d “bin” the lot. I have 8 floor bins that get tons of use, plus it’s an easy direction to send the littlest of littles before we work on how to browse shelves. Since there are only 8 it’s high demand. 2 Seuss, 3 Mo Willems, Curious George, Eric Litwin, and the 5min stories

Howdy! First year educator in a school library (public libraries before that). LOVING this new life!

There are 2 for Dr Seuss, 3 for Mo Willems (2 are hidden in the pic), 1 for Eric Litwin, 1 Curious George, and 1 with all the bulky 5 minute story anthologies. All the high number/high circ authors where the shelves end up a mess no matter how much I go over how to browse 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
But they love them!
