Working on procedural geometry (verts & uvs via code) on a dual-grid hexagonal system using triangular meshes. Now I understand the problem domain but am struggling to decide if I should keep building via code or switch to Blender geometry nodes to generate assets and deal with that back-and-forth 🤔

Ugly debugging shaders alert! Making decent progress on my hexagonal coordinate system and procedural mesh creation. I'm aiming to get a rough procedural map generating by the month's end including tile heights, types and basic states like "hovering, highlighted, etc." 💪😅

Recently discovered the dual-grid technique - separating your coordinate system from your geometry tiles to reduce the number required to build a cohesive map - thanks to @jesscodes.bsky.social YT video. Working on a rough plan for my procedural map editor!
