Damn I think I finally had a breakthrough with the other whip upgrade. This deploys sparks that deal low damage but it also refreshes the current mark debuff, you also spawn more of them with stronger whip attacks, so it adds up!

Sorry about the delay, here's a few things I've been working on: Audio FX for charging the thunder whip, and FX when applying marked debuffs to enemies, both sound and visual!
Going through so many Genesis SFX has been taking it outta me, but it'll be worth it.

Been quiet on the dev side of things, I know. Spent more time than I'd like to admit looking for good sounds for this subweapon, think I nailed it though. Also Samson now has a jukebox with 79 Sega Genesis tracks.

Been working on Samson's last subweapon, the Thunderpod: A turret that blasts targets with stunning lightning beams. Along with his first upgrade: Normally his gun jams up after shooting too long, but this upgrade will give him access to a charged up laser shot!

Using scaling for squash and stretch effects is fun. The Medipod here can be deployed into the world to give a single AOE heal surge for you and your buddies, and I'll have the altfire in soon. Just need to get some nice smoke/mist effects for the potion!

Keeping my promise to show off something cool tonight. Here's Samson's starting subweapon: The Gunpod can either be deployed as a stationary turret to blast monsters or serve as an orbiting wingman! All of his subweapons will be deployable gadgets like this!

Lots of experimentation here: The whip goes into a low power state if swung too much, does less damage and it can't proc marker combos, resets after a brief pause! Also toying with a passive charge up on the whip that'll boost the effects of the current whip!

I've been messin around with how powering up works. I ditched the two button holding system so now you just power up when you fill up the weapon meter, you can also freely switch between elements now. Also attacking drains mana instead of a timer.

Tryin out something a little more unconventional here: The gimmick being light bullets have a unique marker that produces these little floating bubbles that can be shot by friend and foe. You'll get different bubbles depending on the whip you used.

That would be Samson's snout, he's a kobold! I feel like it was absolutely necessary to have his snout visible on the HUD.
