That’s why I’m proud to endorse Mary Catherine Roberson for State Representative. She is a true and time-tested warrior — someone who has consistently shown up, stood firm, and fought for what matters. In this moment, she’s exactly the kind of leader we need.

Peaceful protest is a right — not a threat. And any government that treats it like one is telling on itself.

We can condemn violence and speak out against repression. We have to.

Sending in federal forces to crush protest, silence dissent, and intimidate the public? That’s not leadership. That’s authoritarianism.

But what we’re seeing in LA isn’t just unrest it’s a full blown assault on democracy in real time.

This is why we fight. Because nobody’s coming to save us.

The people who built this country deserve a government that doesn’t disappear the second the cameras do.

Don’t tell me you love America if you leave its backbone to struggle.

If this happened on the coasts, there’d be a flood of aid and photo-ops. But when it hits the Midwest — the places they fly over — we’re on our own.

Let me be clear: we’re not victims. We’re not weak. But we are being ignored.

4. They even moved this upcoming Monday night’s meeting to a new location last minute — from Village Hall to Orion Middle School Commons — in what looks like an obvious attempt to avoid public pressure.
They know what they’re doing is wrong. They just don’t want to be held accountable.

But the Orion Village Council doesn’t want to wait. They’re trying to appoint someone who didn’t run and didn’t win to take his place.

Yes, you read that right. A 24-year-old charge for something now downgraded in Illinois is being used to override a democratic election. This is outrageous.
