You misunderstand how wire services work. It’s the equivalent of re-airing a story from an American reporter on a US issue.

It’s their work, which companies pay to reuse

CTV didn’t write this, FYI. It’s a wire article from the Associated Press; which are posted as a finished product.

Hi I emailed you, looking to connect - I’m with CTV News.

It was not my intention to downplay that so I appreciate the feedback

It’s noteworthy the sense of optimism and unity that exists after this meeting but that alone won’t build electrical transmission grids, deep sea ports, or pipelines.

Asking for details and highlighting the fact that they are incomplete is not partisan; it’s my job.

Anytime!

The King's royal crown (for Canada) doesn't actually exist as a physical object; when the Queen came she wore one of her tiaras.

As for his robes, those are related to his position as King of the UK. I don't believe they're actually allowed to leave the country.

Yes, that is a parliamentary role which allows him to lead the Cons in the House of Commons and use the questioning privileges that come with that.

It is not the same as the leader or the Conservative Party of Canada, which is its own entity with its own governing rules
May 19, 2025 at 5:42 PM
He is still the leader of the Conservative Party. That is different from the Parliamentary position “Leader of the Opposition”

National polling is as tight as it’s been all race, the Ontario lead for the Liberals was cut in half over the last ten days.

There has absolutely been movement.

What remains to be seen is the impact of those changes

It is a 15% reduction, the result of that reduction is that the marginal tax rate for that bracket drops by 2.25 percentage points.

It’s not technically untrue, although i have seen some confusion around the policy because people misunderstand the difference

No more than usual, just a quieter room and probably closer to the mics

That’s something staffers do at the end of his press conferences. It conveniently drowns out the reporters shouting questions
April 13, 2025 at 3:35 PM
At a hotel ballroom, it’s a space the Conservatives have used many times in the lead up to the campaign for weekend press conferences
April 13, 2025 at 3:30 PM
No worries, happy to look into it and always appreciate news tips!
March 24, 2025 at 8:45 PM
It is being covered, I just watched a segment on CTV Newschannel about it in the last few minutes.

I can’t speak to plans for additional coverage but know we are aware of it and discussing it on air.
March 24, 2025 at 3:40 PM
On the radar already, but thank you!
March 23, 2025 at 2:36 PM
Absolutely! There is a big job for the national media over the next few months and I know journalists are doing their best to deliver for the moment
March 17, 2025 at 2:07 PM
On trips like this there’s one feed for all media. If it wasn’t covered live there could have been issues or a turnaround on that source.

I can say it’s a topic CTV is covering heavily today from Ottawa and from the travelling press corps

That is not a policy, they should be checking ID. FWIW this was not my experience at the polls or what I observed, people were checking ID when I went.
