Can't understand what I mean? You soon will.

you are almost certainly right. I had the impression that Discord tried to be queer-friendly. but this absolutely sounds like something a big company like them would do. disappointing as it is.

actually that is very fair. I was under the idea that Discord was more queer-friendly than most apps but you are completely correct that they would throw queer people under the bus in a heartbeat.
I guess where the red-flag went off for me was Gianni's flippancy with the topic of queer suppression.

please do not fearmonger like Discord has a secret mission to suppress queer identity. I do not like the update anymore than anyone else. but you are attaching queer suppression to this because you know people will react stronger if you do. and it's not fair to play with people's anxiety about this.

I could not care less about a book unless this actually turns out to be The Big One and he finally kicks the bucket.

also I voted for Kamala anyway. lol.
July 17, 2025 at 2:39 PM
sorry. facilitating a genocide is also a big taboo in progressive politics.

how do you think we move parties to more progressive positions in the first place? if you want a Democrat to win the presidency. we need a candidate who is a staunch advocate for trans rights. you cannot blame the voters for how this works. we're not a central organization like the Democratic party.

there is not a chance of him winning. we aren't 6 months into Trump's second term and every progressive has already decided they would never vote for Newsom. the best thing he could do for the Democratic party is resign in disgrace.

as well as anyone who supports trans people. they cannot get their voter base to just forget about one of the most vulnerable groups of people.

if he is the nominee. I am tuning out of all forms of news and becoming a hermit.

and a pathetic one, too.

imagine if they cared this much about Zohran's opposition. they could write a story like this every hour. and then actually write something that matters on top of that! but they have to scrape the bottom of the barrel with this shit to write anything negative about Zohran.

the way Mamdani beat Cuomo proves that Democrats are not being "too progressive" rather they need to be MORE progressive if they want any chance of the party surviving.

progressive values are the only thing upholding empathy and morality in American culture.
