That was actually 1982 (#158) -- Kitty writes the virus, they infiltrate the Pentagon to install it into the government's computers, and Rogue (still a villain) attacks them in the process.

Took me forever to learn that even though Uncle V and Uncle S were related to each other (and had the same last name), Uncle V was one of my father's second (third?) cousins, while Uncle S was completely unrelated to us. Their wives we called aunts, their kids, cousins.
