We turned up this morning to do a #volunteering day at Arthur Jacob Nature Reserve in #Horton near #Windsor and couldn’t access the site. Fly tipping is a big issue. Local authorities need a better solution to deal with this to stop it happening in the first place.

Looking to the stars, reminds us of this small, yet wonderful planet we inhabit. As #MapleCross faces huge change due to development, it is vital that communities can access places like @woodoaksfarm.bsky.social to connect with nature...

Hugely successful #LitterPicking event this morning in #Fulmer clearing near the Alderbourne River. Many thanks to the enthusiastic volunteers who joined. We teamed up with Fulmer Parish Council, South Bucks Wombles and Bucks & Fulmer councillors.

We support much of the draft #Buckinghamshire Plan. Our comments aim to strengthen it so that @buckscouncil.bsky.social can safeguard the Park for future generations, enabling it to realise its full potential for the benefit of people and wildlife

#Autumn colours on the tow path. Great to see the sun this morning. If you get the chance to get out and explore your local countryside this week: seize it, you’ll be glad you did. #Denham @CanalRiverTrust

At the Colne Valley Regional Park trustees development day recently we took some time to reflect on our favourite places in the Colne Valley. It was great to hear the passion from trustees and staff for a wide range of amazing 'hidden gems'.

That canal side stroll was as good an antidote to the workday blues…for I had beaten off urban stresses in their own territory.

Floating Pennywort poses a continuous threat to our waterways, starving them of oxygen & choking drainage systems. It’s a shocker - it can grow up to 20cm a day & regenerate from a small fragment. Until 2014, this horribly invasive plant was still on sale

This small group of #volunteers from @awscloud.bsky.social worked really hard all day along a section of the Colne River on Harmondsworth Moor to remove invasive floating pennywort.

Stunning sky this morning. Glorious walking along the Grand Union Canal to #Denham country park past Frayes meadow. A reminder of how lucky we are to have the Colne Valley Regional Park.

Great work from these #volunteers from @heathrow.com who spent the morning at Arthur Jacob Nature Reserve in #Horton near #Windsor cutting back overgrown vegetation from around the site’s footpaths to help improve accessibility to reserve users.

Thank you to everyone who was generous enough to give up their Saturday morning to Clean Up #Colnbrook #Slough. These are some of the amazing #volunteers. They had a big impact. The local residents and wildlife have a lot to thank them for.

Productive meeting with @buckscouncil.bsky.social councillors in #Denham this afternoon and joined by @joymorrissey MP on Teams. Exciting to progress opportunities to protect & enhance the Colne Valley Regional Park. Thank you everyone for making the time for this.

Great work from these #volunteers from @HeathrowAirport who spent the morning at Arthur Jacob Nature Reserve in #Horton near #Windsor clearing vegetation and litter from around the entrance to make the reserve more accessible and pleasant for local users.
