It was even grander than that...And those gate pillars (as far as I know) still remain...!!!

Thought this might interest you @beebsymca.bsky.social .... Came upon this amazing skill being carried out on the #BallynagarrickRoad today while out walking.. Talking to the company owner, they're one of only three left in Northern Ireland doing this to any extent....!!!

Reminds me of this, drawn by Mike Dorey for me.... Sort of figured that Doc Savage, The Shadow, The Rocketeer & Fu Manchu could exist in the same 'universe'......

I never knew a proper sprained ankle could be so bad .... Fell 4m from a ladder onto a garage roof the day after 'thee' storm in January... Left ankle had got tangled up in the rung of the ladder as I fell.. Was up trying to secure a TV ariel with no one holding the ladder..
