She also directed two great films (and directed a lot more, but these two are stand-outs): HEAVEN (1987) and UNSTRUNG HEROES (1995). Both extraordinary.

#letterboxdfriday #lastfourwatched Been catching up with Warmer Archive blu-rays this week. Mixed results, but I loved hearing Oliver Stone on a commentary track talking about how he loves Capraesque endings and feel-good movies, while constantly name-dropping every film he ever made.

Re-watched TRON last night. ENCOM is DOGE. David Warner is Musk. The MCP is Musk's AI bot eliminating or restricting programs Musk doesn't like. All the heroes in the film are government workers and veterans. There's room for expansion and "Or..." here, but that's what it felt like last night.

This VHS copy is the only version that represents the version I grew up with in high school. Every remaster since has altered it somehow, leaving out little nuances that I always miss, little things only an obsessive like me would know. There’s no such thing as a bad version, but I miss this one.
