This past weekend, LTR Ministries (in strong partnership with Faith Works) co-led a border pilgrimage. We were grateful that some of our racial justice heroes, including @jemartisby.bsky.social and Robert Chao Romero, were with us on the trip.

These commitments were hard won thanks to the committed work of Councilmembers Casey Thomas & Janie Schultz (amongst other supporters), the moral imagination and pressure of Dallas Black Clergy and other faith leaders present again today in the Flag Room of City Hall.

Turning 16 on a Sunday is a bit disappointing. The good news is that all of the driver’s education and hours behind the wheel are complete. Tomorrow is Driving Test Day.

But today, we got to celebrate Maddox. We love you and are proud of the man you are becoming! Happy 16th Birthday, Son!

Allen USA Celebration has been a tradition for our family since we moved to Allen in 2014. I love these 3 and their mother! Soaking it up while they are still at home.

My favorite story in the world is Les Miserables. I’ve read Victor Hugo’s unabridged book, seen the Broadway musical many times, and several movie productions.
