Fontaines nearly blew the roof off the Ally Pally tonight. There isn’t a band out there at the moment that can touch them IMO.

Tunnel of Love - Bruce Springsteen
Look, it’s not perfect. Cautious man sticks out like a sore thumb, the production on the title track is pure 80’s cheese & as for the cover, dear lord the cover!
Apart from that it’s little short of incredible. Side 2 is absolutely heart wrenching.

Oh Mercy - Bob Dylan.
The 80’s were generally unkind to Bob. Of the 6 albums he put out between 1980 and 1988, only Infidels has more than the odd song worthy of the man.
1989’s Oh Mercy is a comeback worthy of Lazarus. An incredible record and nailed on for my top 5.

The 80’s were generally unkind to Bob. Of the 6 albums he put out between 1980 and 1988, only Infidels has more than the odd song worthy of the man.
