So for a thousand practical reasons I’d say no (dismissal of women, minorities pain etc doesn’t need more help).

In some theory land I suppose it depends on what you view the phys-pat relationship as. In which case I’d still say no based on a more collaborative ideal.

The explanation is through a metaphysical account of accidents/essences. Accidents being the perceived and essence being something more fundamental. The essence changes but not the accidents. I don’t find the metaphysics compelling, but that’s how someone who accepts transub would spell it out

Between Catholicism and Protestantism the biggest difference is probably the relative importance/ability of the church to set and establish correct doctrine. Of course there are so many streams of Protestantism it’s hard to say one thing besides “they descend from the reformation”.
