There was a sleight of hand trick to getting this seat filled by a mayor that would vote for corporate interests over the will of the people. Mayors that voted for Velazquez at the surprise vote (Carmel, DRO) led their constituents to believe they were in favor of Public Water-the old switcheroo!

It's difficult to make this trip frequently. We might want to take turns rallying at town halls in our neighboring cities and/or at our representatives' offices.
