Second, the cross-sectional and longitudinal meta-analyzed effects, analysis code, and codebooks are available osf.io/vaedn/ Particular kudos to Janet and Sophie for this effort. Comprehensive coding of executive function domains and heterogeneity served me well as an aging researcher.

Apart from the findings, two neat things I want to share: Approximately 9% of the meta-analyzed effects came from unpublished data which was difficult to find and incorporate. Very grateful to the authors we contacted (sometimes many times) over the years. I learned a ton about data management!

Oh, this paywalled piece DOES blame the left, for making consequences clear, not the right for creating those consequences. Do not say "there is a giant sinkhole ahead" because it will be your fault for giving a warning that is scary, not the people who dug the sinkhole.
