I’m a bit obsessed with watching the bears at Brooks Falls in Katmai NP. Two of my favorite younger bears returned today! 🥳 306 Wookie and 335 Jolly! I’m so thankful they’ve made it “home” another summer and I can watch them get chonky and play. Thank you @explore.org!

The ONE THING people with large audiences refuse to do to fight fascism is stop publishing on Substack. People are starting to publish on Substack—this month—because Substack keeps paying people to ignore their own moral center.

You can’t fight fascism in a Nazi bar.

You. Just. Fucking. Can’t.
Watching people post about how they hate Nazis and are committed to fighting fascism but the one thing that would be easiest for them to do is stop publishing on substack, but they won’t do it.

You’re not fighting fascism. You’re enabling it.

We are fighting back. Our movement has been silenced by the media here—but we are not backing down. This is what our streets looked like across multiple cities. Tomorrow, there will be more of us! Raise a glass to freedom.

I heard that the humans @ Tinykittens rescued three pregnant feral mama cats. THREE!! That will be a lot of kittens. And the kittens will need homes in a few months!! We better find homes for Tomball & Hibbing, and Chad first.

Hershey isn’t usually a cuddly cat but today he decided he needed an extended visit with me. I’m recovering from a recent surgical procedure and can’t pick him up or play with him like normal for several more weeks. He absolutely made my day with such a long visit. ❤️

President Jimmy Carter has passed away at the age of 100. He was a symbol of what is best about America: kindness, compassion, duty and service. He will be missed, most of all by those who long for a return of that kind of country, led by a man with such strength of character.

Delete your data, account, and remove health apps from your devices. Use paper calendars to track your cycle and symptoms. Health devices that track your temp can be used to determine your cycle. If you have a uterus in the US and still menstruate, it is unsafe to digitally track your health.
The ovulation tracking app, "Ovia", now mandates you identify what state you live in. Delete immediately and warn anyone who might need to know.

This is true. You learn from it by questioning it. This often means learning the historiography of a subject before accepting a perspective of history as true or accurate. Knowing who, what, when, where, why, and how that history was written/recorded are vital to learning from it. Context matters.
