My family's never had turkey for Thanksgiving. We're Italian-American (aka white) and have always had ravioli, manicotti, meatballs, and hot sausage. My cousin had CPS called on his parents when he didn't know that turkey was Thanksgiving food in kindergarten. There's a strong association there.

Pretty sure it was over $100 but I don’t remember by how much. He was trying to get it before flying so was willing to pay.

My sister and BIL had almost no issue in Baltimore two weeks ago (BIL had to pay out of pocket because Kaiser didn’t have any in stock yet.

What I’ve learned asking around in a few places is it is mostly specific to VA historical archaeology, but can also be found in FL, NC, and MD. One theory is it was introduced by Joffrey Coe at UNC in the mid-20th century and spread via his students, including Stanley South. I’m still very curious.

Which article is first, public health in schools or Black schoolhouses as buildings and how they worked as stabilizing/destabilizing forces in society is the question? Both are incredibly relevant to today, namely racism, the destruction of the public school systems and public health.

Her original bouquet, the bouquet a few days after the wedding that my sister turned into a drawing that I turned into the embroidery.

And done! This is the embroidered version of my sister’s wedding bouquet and I’m very happy with how it came out seeing as how much the hydrangeas drove me crazy!
