A feast of eggplants. Gramps' hunting buddy has an amazing garden and he's always sharing produce with us. Last week was a bunch of tomatoes. Luckily I just bought a Turkish cookbook that heavily features eggplant!

Looks like a bug, not a bug. Some kind of ink spatter during the printing process. But because I'll forget the next time I have to turn to this page I've scribbled it over

I have a hard time just doing things for myself. I need to justify everything, and I shouldn't. I wanted to take a walk up the street and have ice cream. So I got ice cream. Black raspberry with a chocolate dipped, freshly made waffle cone.

Pink hyacinth on the left is new. Couldn't find a white one, but looks more filled in now. Random daffodils that pushed over from neighbor's side. We'll keep it.

Got a few minutes of sunshine and did some quick weeding in the gardens. Needs a lot more work, but it's a start. My hyacinths are looking good this year. All were potted store bought plants I simply stuck in the ground. They're many years old now!

Need to go through my scarf stash. But also these bright colors spoke to me. I have a lot of dark colors and I need a happier wardrobe. Will I look good in that shade of pink? Eh, we'll see how it looks paired with a dark base scarf underneath.

A sad noodle cat back from the vet. He is super wobbly from gabapentin and had to get 2 vaccines, but he was a very good boy and pending bloodwork, is healthy.
