I love that range, Saruman on hos little horse is fantastic and the Uruk-hai (the 3 pack rather than the late Jes range) are fantastic figures. The Boromir foot and mounted set is lovely as well. Strider was one of my first minis.

I always wondered what the title across the top would look like, what typeset and colours they'd go for. Imagined blue and chrome.

Yeah, decision paralysis. Go full still mania and build your army with the intention of never changing it. My Renegade Crowns army will almost entirely be 3rd and 4th edition figures which sort of self limits my choices.

Isn't that half the fun? My advice is paint what you want and fit an army round that. If its narrative then the fluff will always win.

I still reckon the Dwarfs from this set are some of the best they ever made. The wood elves and dark elves are bloody good as well.....I'm half way through a unit of the Orcs. Fuck it. They're all great!
