It certainly can be, and obviously it's very fun to use on people who already have triggers. Just pepper those in there and act all innocent about it :3

I call it conversational hypnosis because it requires you to be subtle enough to weave the suggestions and wording in with normal conversation.
Since conversation can also keep someone more engaged than a basic induction, I've found it to be useful with especially distractible people.

To be succinct, it's essentially the subtle use of phrasing, emphasis, and conversation to lead someone's subconscious into a suggestible state. A very simple example is getting someone to agree with me about something, then repeatedly having them reaffirm that to progressively more leading thoughts

Same. Tonight, uh, a little while after posting that, I finally had a talk with my partner that I've been trying to find the time, energy, and availability to have for almost two months.

Haha I love that. Like someone you trust, a random friend, could accidentally use a really stern tone to say something like "you really need to see that movie" or something and you're just like thinking about doing that the rest of the day.
Or they make a dirty joke that becomes your next trigger..~
