Only the ECB and their greed could have the Hundred and Metro Bank Cup playing at the same time so players aren’t available and it is as though the 50 over comp doesn’t exist. No wonder the 100 is jokingly referred to as the crisp league.

As opening matches go that was pretty near perfect at Wolves. Pep is a serial winner and Erling an elite goal scorer but we seem to have slipped under the radar. Appreciate we will have tougher challenges but one down and 37 to go. Come on City! #CTID

Oh the irony of Henderson making saves for Palace when he should have been suspended had he been sent off in FA Cup final for handing outside the penalty area. At least Liverpool didn’t win.

Test cricket needs to move with the times - how about each session consists of 30 overs (if no weather delays). Lunch and tea become movable and spectators get what they pay for. Would avoid all the shenanigans and ICC could still punish slow play.

As a City fan I am looking forward to the new season and the players brought in who all look like good business. There will no doubt be more business being done and the extra rest will hopefully do Pep and the players some good. #CTID
