20 Jan 2026 G4 Aurora. Cape Tourville, Tasmania. The aurora was very colourful in camera, with a mix of reds, greens, purples and blues. Not very colourful naked eye, though.

Phil Hart and my collaboration image of the 20 April 2023 Exmouth Total Solar Eclipse. Phil was very gracious to lend me his hard won data to play with. It took me a couple of years of experimentation to arrive at this iteration.

Proba-3 solar corona raw data is available for download. Here's my first pass attempt at processing level 3 data.. from 11 Sep 2025. Amazing coronal detail, but also pretty severe sensor and stacking artifacts. Perhaps @stim3on.bsky.social has some cleanup tips? :)

May 10/11 2024 G5 Aurora Super Storm.

I was lucky to be on the west coast of Tasmania, where skies were pretty clear. At morning onset, Ocean Beach Strahan. In the evening, Couta Rocks in the North West.
