The only solace I can take is that republicans have such a thin majority in the house and the filibuster in the senate and Mike Johnson doesn’t have the connections and competence Nancy Pelosi had in whipping her caucus.

I can only imagine the better timeline we would be in if he actually whipped the votes necessary votes (he could’ve) even if we’d be dealing with another republican president after the election it would still be the better outcome.
