Birding mainly between Easington and Spurn. No lists, just enjoying looking for my own stuff.
November Swifts and Wheatears always spike interest. Unbelievable views of the Pallid from the Easington garden this morning and then this Isabelline on the breach at Spurn this afternoon #phonescoped #spurnbirds

It’s been a couple of weeks since the Yellow-browed Warbler influx started in earnest at Spurn, so it was nice that one has frequented our Easington garden (our first for 3 years) over the last few days @bto-gbw.bsky.social #BirdTrack #spurnbirds

With unpleasant weather forecasted for the next few days, I thought I’d have another look at the Black-faced Bunting again this morning. Much closer than the other day and performing well for the early small group of birders, it was well worth the bike ride along the Spurn peninsula #spurnbirds

After a lean spell, Spurn delivered today when @andyfmears.bsky.social found a Black-faced Bunting at Middle Camp. An elusive and mainly silent Hume’s Leaf Warbler at Sammy’s Point was a fitting end to the best day of the autumn here so far #spurnbirds

After a dawn raid on the Point, this little beauty was cowering in the buckthorn on my birding walk back, not far south of the Breach at Spurn. Thomas Willoughby’s brilliant pic. Bird of a lifetime. A British tick as well 😂

It's been an excellent autumn for Baird's Sandpipers in the UK and especially the Outer Hebs. This bird is the 2nd one for Loch Paible, North Uist this year. Also lots of Barnacle Geese resting on the sands with a Cackling Goose amongst them. #BIrdingScotland #BirdingOuterHebrides
