A fan of JRPGs, I've been playing Final Fantasy for over three decades.
My second love: The New England Patriots... It's been a rough few years.
Did anyone see this coming 3 months ago?

I love FF7, but FF7 fans are the worst.

Would they still get paid if they're off sick? If so, there's no excuse for coming into work and making others ill.

But for a lot of people, if you're off sick you don't get paid. So if you have a family to feed and bills to pay, you're going into work. No matter how sick you are.

I tried Duolingo for Japanese, (amongst many other resources)

The introduction was done really well. But once you pass N5 level into anything remotely complex, it appears that Duolingo abandoned ship. The course was bare bones, and was simply asking you to translate random sentences over and over.

Good riddance.

But this only punishes Dolphins and Bengals, as a Chiefs forfeit would hand the Broncos the final playoff spot without playing.

It also gives the Chiefs an extra week of rest.

So I say screw it, force them to play.

As entertaining as it is to see them all turn on each other, it's not enough to get me to reopen my Twitter account. Never going back.

Musk wants to import skilled foreign workers because - in his own words - America doesn't have enough skilled or hard working people.

The maga crowd is obviously angry. And Musk has even resorted to banning Laura Loomer from X for disagreeing with him.

I think the Chinese one will win.

It's not that "real gamers" don't care, it's just Chinese fans voting for Chinese games. And they can outvote everyone else.

It does make fan votes pointless though.

We've become experts at turning 1st and goal into field goals.

Nier Automata does a lot of things really well, and other developers should learn from it. But it's also not perfect. So it could give you a lot of material to work with.

Another idea, Like a Dragon showed how you can incorporate turn-based combat into a modern setting. And it was also really funny

It's not a hard-right pivot. It's an anti-establishment trend across the democratic West. It's been a rough few years to say the least, and people want change. It's as simple as that.

Sometimes politicos get so obsessed over minute details, that they fail to see the wood for the trees.

This is literally why there are so many different translations of the Bible available. Experts in ancient languages all argue over every little bit of nuance in every sentence. They can get quite heated about it.

I have the opposite issue 😕

They went with the quick and easy option. They already have a list of all the pensioners who claim credit, so giving them the fuel allowance is easy.

Means testing to a separate threshold would require time and paperwork. And I guess they couldn't be bothered. So some people have to suffer.
